I have so many events in college and never enough sarees for them. Our college rules say student leaders must wear sarees for formal events, and I don’t like wearing the same thing every time we have an event. That evening, I was complaining about my situation to my friend Divya and she told me that’s a big budget. I said, “What’s wrong with you?! With three thousand rupees you won’t get more than three or maximum four sarees. Even with the sale!”

Can you believe it, I could buy 20 sarees!!! I just picked whatever I liked! All the sarees were of good quality, lightweight and comfortable to wear. They fall so well and are crease-free since they are synthetic. This is so important because half the time I have to run around, sit here and there, and cotton sarees are quick to crumple. It doesn’t look good when you go up on stage later. These sarees not only complimented my figure, but they also looked formal and fresh. The designs were all new; like nothing, I’ve seen before. It’s so rare to find exclusive designs these days so I was really happy. Finally, we shortlisted 10 sarees under the Rs.298 offer. So our spend was Rs. 1490. I only had to buy an off-white, gold and yellow blouses. I was running a little short on the money given by my parents but I decided I’ll spend some of my pocket money and make up for the balance.
So with that, I wrapped up my shopping for college cultural! When I came home and told my parents I bought 12 sarees, 12 falls and 3 blouses they could not believe it! They were so proud of me, I felt great! Dad was instantly eager to go to the store in the weekend for formal shirts.
